The works comprise of many layers of influence, ranging from the status of Bihar, the struggle of people in the quest to earn their livelihood, the richness of the culture, their dreams, the influence of modernization, and so on. My present work has been divided into three layers. The base (ground) which signifies earth, the richness of culture even in the very basic, the middle part is the life in process, the race for materialism, the unstable, the disposable glamour and the glittering, representing the artificial life the society is going through, the third layer is aasma, which symbolizes the open sky as the desire. The desire for more, the floating butterflies as dreams. The work attempts to show a contrast of cultural influence in the name of development. I tried to add elements that symbolize events in social development over a period of time.
