Waiting for Hands
This work questions: How can the current generation of VR/AR technologies be hacked and confused to create new possibilities for storytelling? Stories that deviate from the “normal” and attune towards a non-normative embodiment – a disabled one. Through their work, titled ‘Waiting for Hands’, the artists propose a humble nod to play-writer Samuel Beckett, using absurdity as a medium to provoke common misconceptions around disability through body-machine interaction.
