Gaysi Family in collaboration with Khoj brought some of the conversations and art they have platformed since the striking down of Sec 377 online on to the offline world in Delhi during December 15th to 17th, 2023. 

The exhibition ‘DO YOU SEE US?’ was an invitation to society at-large to gently engage with the nuances of queer lived realities as told through the visual art and writings of queer Indian folx themselves. It unravelWalkthrough With Team Gaysis the many layers of queerness and Indian-ness, prodding you to “see US, our family, our queerness, our politics, our desires, our thriving” and more.


Here is what the programming looked like:

15th December | 11am – 8pm

  • Walkthrough With Anish Gawande at 4pm
  • Through Our Eyes: Gaze and Queer Art — A conversation with Priya Dali, Panka Dahaliaj & Jose; moderated by Raqeeb at 5pm
  • Speakeasy – Queer Vibes ONLY! — 5 queer artists (Teya, Kavz, Edythe, Mohul Sharma and Phellian) take us on a journey filled with laughter, joy and tears through their spoken word, stand-up comedy, poetry, and more at 6pm

16th December | 11am – 10pm

  • Walkthrough With Team Gaysi at 12pm
  • Personal Myth Making — A workshop conducted Rohan Dhahiya that uses art to explore your inner worlds and create a character through which the participant can make their own adventures and turn their view of the world into surreal escapades or simply rewrite their story the way they want. Make a mess, be a mess, and embrace every colour of your queerness at 12:30pm
  • Art, Law, and Queering Imaginations — A conversation with Nu, Shaleen Wadhwana & Sakshi Juneja; moderated by Rohin Bhatt at 5pm
  • Walkthrough With Raqeeb at 6:30pm
  • Queer-E-Mehfil — An evening of soulfull sufi and Indie folx music with Swati Marwal & Folk That Band from 7:30pm onwards

17th December | 11am – 8pm

  • Walkthrough With Team Gaysi at 12pm
  • Drag Reading Hour With Princess Teya at 12:30pm
  • Desi Queer Short Cuts — A screening of 3 Indian queer short films at 5pm
  • Walkthrough with Team Gaysi at 6:30pm

The exhibit was a part of Gaysi Family’s ongoing celebration of completing 15 years of its queer existence in India.
