Khoj is hosting a workshop from 21st to 23rd October in partnership with the Digital Narratives Studio and the School of Journalism & Communication at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. This workshop will explore the technological shifts experienced during the management of the Covid-19 pandemic, profoundly altering how we come together as groups, collectives, communities, and people. The workshop aims to unpack these shifts to understand how pandemic conditions persist long after the biological pandemic has been managed.
The workshop is facilitated by the following practitioners:
Nishant Shah, Professor and Director of Global Media and Communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Nishant has worked at the intersections of digital technologies and society since 2003 and explores the questions of authorship, authority, and authenticity amid evolving AI and platform technologies.
Dr. Alexandra Juhasz is a distinguished Professor of Film at Brooklyn College, CUNY. She makes and studies committed media practices that contribute to political change and individual and community growth. She is also the author/ editor of various scholarly books.
Dr. Sonia Wong is an interdisciplinary researcher, artist, writer, and advocate based in Hong Kong. Her work concerns sexuality, identity, intimacy, and violence, within the context of Asian histories and colonial legacies.
