Bio

Born in 1995 in Ezhupunna, Kerala.

Celin Jacob completed her BFA in Sculpture at R.L.V. College of Fine Arts, Tripunithura, currently she pursuing MFA in Sculpture at Government College of Fine Arts Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. Her recent works contemplates on the observation of nature and it’s multitudes of ecosystem. Small creatures that are regularly seen at home such as ant, fish, lizard, moth, cockroach, etc. are taken as a part of her works. In the early days, she made only the creatures that she felt related to her life as part of her works. Later she began to observe more and more of such beings consciously and unconsciously and made them part of my creations. In a human-cantered environment, small creatures in the ecosystem are disturbed and destroyed, and human cruelty towards individual creatures increases, resulting in their isolation and destruction.

She has participated in several important Group exhibitions and camps in Kerala. Some of her group exhibitions are labyrinth annual show at R.L.V. College of music and Fine Arts (2017), Group art exhibition at Zen school of arts (Eramalloor 2013), State exhibition of Kerala Lalithakala Akademi (Ernakulam 2019), See annual show at Government College of Fine Arts Kerala, (Thiruvananthapuram 2020) Students Biennale 2022-23 of Kochi Muziris Biennale 2022-23.
