Juhikadevi Bhanjdeo was formally trained in painting, however she actively experiments with fabric and installations. Juhika has chosen to work with two extremely disparate materials – soft, synthetic, translucent Ribbons and cold, hard, sharp Razor Blades. She’s still trying to understand the possibilities these two materials lend themselves to.
She trained as a painter at M.S. University in Baroda, and has been part of several group shows, including the Red Earth gallery in Vadodara and was an artist-in-residence in the Glenfidditch residency in Dufftown in Scotland.
