Oorja Garg
Bio
Oorja Garg acquired a postgraduate degree in Art History and Aesthetics from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (2020). She has independently curated ‘Responses to Memory’, Gillehri Arts Initiative (2020), ‘Untitled VII’, Priyasri Art Gallery, Mumbai (2020) and ‘Ritualising the Disfigured: Memorials of healing from Sri Lanka’, Recent works by Chathuri Nissansala, Anant Art Gallery, New Delhi (2021). She has assisted in multiple curatorial projects including The Portrait Museum curated by Archana Hande, Student’s Biennial (2021). Her independent research focuses on the popular visual culture of India and unravels the sophisticated systems of power that exist beyond these appearances. She is currently working at Anant Art Gallery, New Delhi (2020- ongoing). Oorja lives and works in Delhi.
