An urban geographer, Saleha runs a multidisciplinary urban practice called City Sabha (co-founded in 2020). City Sabha was born out of the need to foreground urban inequalities prevalent in recent, precarious times. Their work engages marginalized communities and Urban Local Bodies via research, action, advocacy and education to enable active citizenry and accountable governance. She has 10+ years of experience in the development sector and a master’s in Urbanization and Development from LSE. Her background engagement includes issues on city-making, informality, social welfare schemes, environment, gender, health and sexuality. Saleha wants to co-create spaces for—deliberation and empathy where policy gets translated into systemic grassroots action.
