Bio

Sayali Mundye is a curator and a cultural manager. Over the last 7 years, she has worked with various art organisations, including public and private museums like Piramal Museum of Art, Indian Art and Design Educators Association, Dr. Bhau Daji Lad City Museum, Sir JJ School of Art and others. She has led large scale art projects, curated exhibitions, developed programmes and managed partnerships. Sayali is the recipient of some prestigious fellowships: Samuel Kress Foundation for Art Curator Conference 2021, Museum Curation by the Centre for Art & Archaeology of the AIIS and Cultural Management by Goethe Institute. She has a keen interest in discovering ideas, exploring new facets of art and developing those into programmes and exhibitions. Her research interests include the role of cultural organisations, exploring the relationship between art, mental health, and society. Sayali has a BFA from Rachana Sansad and is pursuing a postgraduate diploma from Bombay Institute of Critical Analysis and Research. She writes occasionally about the art and culture sector in India. Sayali is currently the Curatorial Associate at Sakshi Gallery.
