Bio
Shovan Gandhi is a visual artist and photographer based in New Delhi, India. His practice draws from an ongoing interest in architecture, design, and cinema. He focuses on documenting spaces shaped by conflict and layered with socio-cultural and political histories. Through editing and sequencing, he constructs fictional or hyper-real narratives from documentary fragments, blurring the line between reality and imagination.
Gandhi’s work has been exhibited in diverse contexts, including Artists’ Cinema / Artist’s Cinema at Jaipur Centre for Art (2025), Can the Future be Handmade? at the German Ambassador’s Residence, New Delhi (2024), and Ellipsis: Between Word & Image at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur (2019). He has also participated in international platforms such as Never Apart in Montreal.
