R V Sindhu’s project

Start Date
Participants

R V Sindhu lit diyas (small clay lamps) inside baskets that had been burnt to a deep black and were suspended from tall bamboos. As night fell a strangely spiritual work began to float above the ground with a visceral quality of silence. The work was strongly connected to her life in Varanasi. Time specificity was applied in Sindhu’s work. His work was to be seen at night and has used light with a very different connotations.
