“This is the story of an eclipse, or many eclipses––the change in and of light making us believe in the magnificent and the insignificant.”

Join us in an internal, intimate journey to watch and discuss to see the sun at midnight / loving against time (2023) by arshad hakim. The film speculates the effects of light changing primarily using the motif of the sky, particularly in relation to the emotional, ethereal, and theological. The film takes its cue from The Stellar Rays of the Stars by Al-Kindi and a re-reading of Ibils’s narrative by Husayn Ibn Mansur al-Hallaj, and foregrounds the image and the phenomena of the eclipse.

After the screening of the film, arshad and pramodha will engage in a discussion about his process, inspirations, and more.

No registration required. Free entrance. Only one screening will happen, so not to be missed!
