Sasi Thavudoz was born in Hyderabad, his interest in the arts began with drawing, the medium through which he began his explorations with form and space. Through his experiments with drawing, he has evolved a minimal and monochromatic aesthetic, but has ventured into experiments with a variety of materials and medium.
At Khoj, he’s experimenting with light and its effects on different material while simultaneously drawing analogies between certain types of packaging and built spaces.
He has received his Bachelors and Masters in Visual Arts from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. He received Inlaks Fine arts award 2013 and Nasreen Mohammadi scholarship in 2009, and also participated Sandarbh Site specific art residency in 2012.
