Ajantrik (the mechanical man) is a 1958 Indian Bengali film directed and scripted by filmmaker Ritwik Ghatak. The film depicts an obsessive relationship between an eccentric cab driver (Bimal) and his 1920s Chevrolet jalopy. The relationship between machine and human was portrayed as an unprejudiced affair. Machine sometime is like a tired labor.

The exhibition rereads Hrithik Ghatak’s film Ajantrik through re-creating. Artists and curator discussed, countered the topic together. How artists create a new work through a film. All the making process, ideas creating are a part of this exhibition.
