About this programme

Khoj and PICA will host a mid-career artist for six weeks, responding to the particular thematic of the residency and with a preferred interest in community-responsive modalities. This partnership enables artists to develop their work in new cultural contexts, building global networks and sharing their projects with new audiences.

In this program, artists living in New Delhi are invited to apply for an six-week residency in Perth, Australia. Awarded to one practitioner a year, the residency includes studio space, accommodation, a daily stipend for the artist to spend time in Perth connecting with local practitioners, conducting research, developing their practice and establishing professional connections.

Khoj and the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) are now accepting applications from mid-career New Delhi based artists for a six-week studio exchange program at PICA in Perth, Australia from 11 November to 22 December, 2024.

The residency invites artists and creative practiontioners to push the boundaries of their practice and experiment with different genres, mediums or materials.  

We are particularly interested in supporting practices that consider their work in a new cultural context or explore the significance of place and the connections and similarities between Perth and New Delhi socially, historically and politically.
