Felling inspired to learn a new skill? Come out for this fun workshop on DNA trans-coding and audio-visual transformation experiments with artists Georg Tremmel & Ekaterina Kormilitsyna from BioClub Tokyo (BCL)
In this interactive workshop participants will learn how to extract actual DNA from fruits, vegetables, bacteria and humans using household materials!
Participants will further be invited to create their own sonic compositions using the genomic data from the extracted DNA as an artistic medium.
Knowledge of softwares such as Pure Data (PD), Max/MSP, TouchDesigner, Processing or any other form of audio-visual expressive programming techniques is a bonus but not mandatory.
