SEZ Who? was a collaborative project by Justin Ponmany, Prajakta Potnis, Sharmila Samant, Tushar Joag, and Uday Shanbhag. The exhibition was on view at KHOJ. It was also accompanied by a walk-through of the exhibition by the artists and a lucky dip of the artworks in the exhibition.

Other programmes included:

  • Seminar (In Context: Public. Art. Ecology) in collaboration with the Delhi Urban Platform
  • Film screenings
  • Performance

SEZ Who? was the outcome of a fact-finding exercise conducted at two areas adjacent to Bombay: the Gorai Uttan Belt and the Raigad District. Special Economic Zones had been proposed at these locations and had met with severe opposition from the local populace. The installation/ events that unfolded at KHOJ were a way of cataloging the data (gathered from the numerous trips) creatively and to share the story which was actually just the tip of the iceberg.
