About this edition
Intimate Architectures: Materials at Play
This project aimed to explore the function of textile materiality as a natural transmission and expansion of the self through clothing into the world and the domain of architectural space. Instead of adhering to predetermined styles or forms, the project asserted that this process was organic. Intermediate and transitional stages were a key characteristic of the project, where the textile piece facilitated interaction, adaptation, modification, and response through the participation of its users. An elastic space then evolved through creative practice for the presence of the body.
