The Feminist Parlour
The Feminist Parlour is a monthly peer-learning space facilitated by The Third Eye, that uses arts-based pedagogies and the feminist lens at intersections of gender, sexuality, technology and education
About this programme
What is a feminist way of looking at the world? What opens up? What becomes visible? Who can you hear? What utterances become possible?
For two hours every month, we are opening up a room to discuss assumptions and presumptions, power and pleasures. It’s a room of teaching and learning, a room for collective thinking, a room for finding new ways to exist meaningfully, a room where the experience can be churned and fermented into knowledge.
It’s a room where we will learn feminist ways of making and doing; processes that help us implicate ourselves when we create, co-create, build art, curricula, people, or movements.
It’s a room where we will study, watch, and listen.
For two hours every month, we will re-initiate ourselves into feminist creative processes, and look at its possibilities in the digital and physical mediums. We will bring into focus the sensorial when we speak of structures, and the self when we speak of ideas.
The Feminist Parlour is a peer-learning space facilitated by The Third Eye, working on the intersections of gender, sexuality, technology and education, and its Learning Lab that uses arts-based pedagogies and the feminist lens to make digital processes and objects.
