Art And Food 2012
KHOJ’s InContext:public.art.ecology program was initiated to create public dialogue around ecological issues through artistic projects and interventions; over two years, through its InContext residencies, KHOJ has narrowed its focus to projects and interventions dealing with food.
About this edition
The third In Context:public.art.ecology residency with its first edition on food commenced on the 5th of March and ran for six weeks until 15th April 2012.
While the residency was in its third phase, the In Context series continued to explore the broader ecological thematic in public spaces around Delhi. This year’s project had a special focus on the notion of food: food as an artistic medium incorporating performance, art installations and interactive events that re-examine the significance and relevance of food in the social context, its connection with the body or as a primary ritual that fosters engagement, interaction and collaboration.
