Art And Science 2015 - Part I

The Art + Science programme at KHOJ was initiated to advance projects that explored artistic applications of emerging thoughts and technologies with the help of partners from the scientific industry and academia. The programme fostered a dialogue between artists and scientific concepts, phenomena and technology through practice.

About this edition

PART I:16th Feb – 28th Feb, 2015

The Undivided Mind was a 6-week residency program at KHOJ, dedicated to exploring the cross-over between the two seemingly unrelated fields of Art and Science. This residency gave opportunities to individuals whose work already sought to explore the ways in which scientific processes and discovery could be coupled with visual art production and vice-versa. The residency also sought to open up new platforms for discovery and conversation between individuals and organizations with an interest in further developing knowledge about the intersections of Science and Art, through its public programmes and outreach activities. KHOJ has long supported interdisciplinary art projects through its unconventional programs with an emphasis on experimentation, ideation, and process- and continues to do so with ‘The Undivided Mind’, the second iteration of an Art & Science program at KHOJ.
