International Workshop Mumbai 2005
From 1997 until 2001, KHOJ conducted the International Artist Workshop mostly at Sikribagh, a quasi-colonial bungalow in Modinagar, offered for the workshop by SK Modi. The workshop functioned as an experimental art laboratory that brought together artists from all over the world to create a co-operative and non-hierarchical space, encouraging critical dialogue, exchange and the transference of information and skills.

About this edition
In 2005 the KHOJ International Workshop was held in Mumbai at the Jindal Vijaynagar Steel Ltd, Vasind. Acclaimed artists came together from Bangladesh, South Korea, Germany, Pakistan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, France, UK, Barbados and South Africa to work alongside prominent Indian artists from Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kochi, and Kolkata. The group worked intensively for 2 weeks, activating their immediate space and pushing their practices through responding to the physical space.
